Florida requires all drivers to carry minimum auto insurance of $10,000 in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and $10,000 in Property Damage Liability (PDL). Florida is a no-fault state, meaning your own insurance pays for your injuries regardless of who caused the accident. While Bodily Injury Liability is not required by law, we strongly recommend it to protect your assets.

Many South Florida properties should have flood insurance, and some are required to have it. If your property is in a FEMA-designated high-risk flood zone (Zone A or Zone V), flood insurance is typically required for federally-backed mortgages. Even in moderate-to-low risk zones, 25% of flood claims come from these areas. Standard homeowners insurance does NOT cover flood damage.
